People do not realize they get what they pay for. Hotel is very good for a two star hotel. Breakfast in a nearby hotel is quite good, there is something for everyone. It is very close to the beach and airport, the hotel is clean, just a sincere recommendation that you take the safe. We had some trouble with the electricity, but it was quickly repaired. Stayed 3 nights in May 201 3. Central location - easy walk to old town, railway station and cathedral. Clean and recently refurbished. Just spent a couple of days in palma, Bed was memory foam, very comfy, room was spacious and the entire hotel was the cleanest i have ever experienced. not far off placa espanja, which had buses and trains going to the rest of the island. We had to wait a little bit to check in because we arrived very early and check in is at 12 but we were offered a place to put our luggage. Hotel sencillo en cuanto a instalaciones, pero lo que tiene está nuevo ya que ha sido remodelado hace poco. Bien situado y comunicado, y algo muy importante es que en cuanto a la limpieza un 10. Stadtnahes Hotel mit nettem Personal. Gutes und abwechslungsreiches Essen. Ideal für Kurzurlaub zum Erkunden von Palma und dem Rest der Insel. Ruhig gelegen. Große Zimmer mit Balkon. Sehr zu empfehlen die Superior-Zimmer ( mit Whirpool) .Sehr schöne Aussicht auf Palma. Schöne Aussichtsterasse mit Schwimmbad. Toller Innenhof lädt zum gemütlichen abendlichen Verweilen ein. Wenn Sie nicht unbedingt vom Hotelzimmer ins Meer fallen wollen, ist das Horizonte genau das Richtige für Sie, weil es ein ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis bietet. Ich war vom 21.-24. Mai 2012 dort als Einzelreisender und hatte "upgraded" auf ein Single "Superior" - und dazu habe ich mich beglückwünscht. Da das Hotel hoch am Hang über Palma liegt, hatte ich von der 9. Etage einen fantastischen Blck auf die Bucht von Palma - und ich schwöre Ihnen, dass Sie sich daran nicht sattsehen können. Was ist noch zu sagen: ja, selbst in der 9. Etage funktionierte das Wasser einwandfrei, die Jacuzzi-Badewanne fand ich toll, die Matrazen waren genauso hart wie sie sein müssen und unter den Vorhängen gibt es zusätzlich dichte, lichtundurchlässige Vorhänge, sodass ich prima geschlafen habe - und das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich und mehr als ok. We upgraded our room for an extra 40 Euros for a 4 night stay, and we stayed on the top floor at the front of the hotel with a corner balcony which also had a fridge in the room, perfect ! I thought it was really good value for money and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in a long time. Breakfast was OK and there was plenty of cereals and eggs available. This hotel is kind of up a long windeing hill, so not ideal for people with walking difficulties. You need to get a taxi into the old town to visit some of the most beautiful restaurants the city has to offer. I stayed at this Hotel for two nights in June 2011. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming, answered all my questions patiently and because it was my first stay with them upgraded my room to include a Jacuzzi. I had requested a room on a high floor with a sea view and got just that with fantastic views across the Bay of Palma and overlooking the cruise liner terminal. The room had no frills but was comfortable and very clean. The balcony was a little small but hey I didn't want to play football, just chill out. The pool and terrace were clean with the same fantastic view I enjoyed from the room. The Bar was a little dated which gave it character. Bar service was also very good. I cannot comment of the food or service in the restaurant as on this occasion I chose to eat at the Porto Pi shopping/entertainment centre a short walk away. Stayed one week at the Amic Gala as a last minute budget holiday. It is declared a 3star and if star ratings are based on cleanliness, location and friendliness of staff, it should have 5. Though it is older fashioned (kind of 1970's! ), it is extremely clean, staff are always tidying, cleaning, they never stop, but are always courteous and helpful. Restaurant operates on a help-yourself-buffet basis. Food was good, fresh, always found something to eat and always plentiful. Aircon is 50 euro per week or 9 euro per day, room fridge 14 euro per week, safe 14 euro per week. Some efforts have been made to update some of the aesthetics, but overall this is a comfortable, friendly, very clean hotel, don't judge it by its 1970's look. My son and I were put up here by the insurance company after we were refused to fly due to my son's chickenpox. My expectations were therefore that it wouldn't be luxurious so I wasn't too disappointed. The plusses were that it is very close to the beach, about 2 minutes walk. The staff were friendly and spoke English well which is good as regretfully I do not speak Spanish. The male staff member in reception also acted as an interpreter for when I needed a doctor's report to say my son was able to fly. The room was kept clean as were the corridors and communal areas that we went in. There is an eroski city supermarket nearby for drink/fruit etc for snacks in the room and there were a couple of cash points nearby up the beach road.We did manage to walk to and visit the aquarium nearby one morning and my son loved riding back on the road train along the beack. This is nice,clean hotel whit pleasent staff. I got room with view on the garden and it was really calm. Problem could be if you got room with view on the street because you need ear plugs. The hotel is near beach and bus station for Palma is close.Food is o.k and restaurant is clean. He estado este puente con mi pareja en el hotel y la estancia fué fantastica. Relacion calidad-precio inmejorable. Buenas vistas, la terraza de la habitación da a la bahía y por el otro lado, el pasillo tiene un amplio ventanal por el que se ve Palma, el Castillo de Bellver, etc. La habitación grande, muy limpia y el baño con jacuzzi. Único inconveniente, para los amante de la cocina, el buffet muy escaso y poco variado. Por la noche hay clases de baile, musica en vivo, una wii`para jugar, internet wifi en las habitaciones,.... Preguntar por Toni en el bar, es genial!!! Yo volveré. Criticas Hotel "Una vista impresionante" : Hotel Horizonte comentarios Las vistas a toda la bahia de palma , son impresionantes, y eso que yo soy de palma, la piscina era muy bonita y muy grande tenia un bar en la piscina donde el hombre era la bomba, nos lo pasamos muy bien, siempre cenábamos allí. Las habitaciones del Hotel Horizonte  estaban bastante bien, el lavabo y la limpieza si no recuerdo mal también. De los desayunos no puedo opinar porque no hicimos ninguno�(nos dormimos, jajaja). Hay un bar que esta abierto hasta las dos de la noche. Los jueves hay una barbacoa que esta para chuparse los dedos, o al menos en ese año, de todas formas, las habitaciones a lo mejor no son modernas, y no tienen una decoración espectacular, pero son grandísimas, lo que descubrí ya hoy por la mañana antes de dejar el Hotel era que ofrecen acceso Público a internet con cuatro ordenadores que tienen en una salita al lado de la recepción.
