Wife and I stayed in Hotel Colón Palma for 5 nights, mainly to see Palma and to use it as a base to make day trips to other parts of Mallorca. Location wise the hotel is excellent as it is 10 minutes walk to the train and bus station at Plaza d'Espanya. This Plaça is the main transport interchange of Plama (in fact Mallorca). The long distance TIB (red/yellow) buses were really easy to use and very cheap. We had been to Valldemossa, Port de Soller and Port d'Andrratx, costing just a few Euros a trip. The blue EMT city buses were also good, nearly all them pass through this Placa. We used EMT buses for the airport, S'Arenal beaches & Castell de bellver, cheap and easy. The bedroom was clean and the shower was powerful and hot . As had been pointed out by others before, the bedroom is on the small side.
