Very close to sea, clear and beautiful beach. Food is delicious, rooms are clean, stuff is very friendly, wi fi is free. Pool, hair dryer,tv,air conditioner, safe (2 euro per day). I really recommend this hotel! We had booked this summer holiday at this hotel, due to some misunderstanding we were moved to apartment. We used Hotel Gala just for the half board. What a lovely food we had, breakfast buffet was tasty and had plenty of choice /kids loved the chocolate croissants, variety of cereals../, the dinner was buffet full of sallads, seafood, traditional dish /kids loved the fries :-( and pasta, soups were great/. I recommend the Sunday Buffet, the price is about 13 EUR and is absolutely lovely, popular for the locals. The staf were so friendly and helpfull, the hotel is very clean and the beach plus the airport is so close, which we found very convinient. Stayed one week at the Amic Gala as a last minute budget holiday. It is declared a 3star and if star ratings are based on cleanliness, location and friendliness of staff, it should have 5. Though it is older fashioned (kind of 1970's! ), it is extremely clean, staff are always tidying, cleaning, they never stop, but are always courteous and helpful. Restaurant operates on a help-yourself-buffet basis. Food was good, fresh, always found something to eat and always plentiful. Aircon is 50 euro per week or 9 euro per day, room fridge 14 euro per week, safe 14 euro per week. Some efforts have been made to update some of the aesthetics, but overall this is a comfortable, friendly, very clean hotel, don't judge it by its 1970's look. I was worried as i hadnt read many reviews on this hotel. Neednt have worried! As soon as we arrived - reception staff were lovely and very helpful. We had a garden view - room 401 - great room - very clean and perfect for our long weekend! would quite happily have stayed a few nights longer. Maids were in every day! We booked half board as it was cheaper than booking the room - so we ate out a few nights and decided on staying in to eat - i wished we had eated there a bit more as the food was yummy!!! its buffet style and you can eat as much as you like... we didnt eat at breakfast but the evening meal was great value for money. You can use the facilities of the hotel across the road too which is handy! The pool in gala is small - but as it is not busy it seems like a nice private pool area. There are many nationalities in the whole resort - we found we were a minority of the english there and found it hard to find english bars etc.. although it didnt really bother us too much...

Great welcome at reception on arrival, clean rooms , food was great ( buffet style in evenings ) lasagne beef etc very nice . My son and I were put up here by the insurance company after we were refused to fly due to my son's chickenpox. My expectations were therefore that it wouldn't be luxurious so I wasn't too disappointed. The plusses were that it is very close to the beach, about 2 minutes walk. The staff were friendly and spoke English well which is good as regretfully I do not speak Spanish. The male staff member in reception also acted as an interpreter for when I needed a doctor's report to say my son was able to fly. The room was kept clean as were the corridors and communal areas that we went in. There is an eroski city supermarket nearby for drink/fruit etc for snacks in the room and there were a couple of cash points nearby up the beach road.We did manage to walk to and visit the aquarium nearby one morning and my son loved riding back on the road train along the beack. "Nice hotel near the beach" : hotel Gala comments I spent a fantastic week in Ca'n Pastilla last month! The hotel was just perfect: very clean, good continental breakfast, nice staff (speaking several languages) and very close to the beach! Everything at an affordable price: good value for money! The hotel is only a few meters from the beach (very clear water) and as we were there in April, there was almost no one else: our own little paradise! The city is 30 minutes away by bus (n°15 runs almost every 15 minutes). The historic centre of Palma is beautiful, above all the huge Cathedral and the Real Palace of the Almudaina (free for EU residents on wednesday!) and you can shopping along Avenida Jaume III. I would definitively recommend this hotel to anyone! "Great hotel" : Hotel Gala Comments I stayed in the Gala in April 06 and enjoyed my stay there. Can Pastilla as a fairly quiet resort, there are quite a few english bars and plenty of places to eat & no noisy dicos. The Gala is about 2-3 KM from the airport and the locals tell me that the taxi should cost about 10 euros but some drivers can ask as much as 30 euros, so ask the price before you accept the taxi (I was charged 15). For any serious shopping & sightseeing you will need to go into Palma , The number 15 bus runs to palma every 15 mins until 1.30am, the nearest stop is about 100m from the hotel & costs 1.10 euros. The busses can be very busy and they pack you in like sardines so don't expect a seat!. There is also a costal cycle route if you feel energetic.The hotel is one minutes walk from the beach & 300m from the harbour. Hotel oportuno en C'an Pastilla La opinión de Kasia sobre el Hotel Gala fue que la limpieza era aceptable. Está perfectamente conectado y en la zona puedes realizar excursiones estupendas. El servicio que se presta en este hotel es grato. En el hotel los empleados son competentes y hablan varios idiomas. Se disfrutaba de un ambiente correcto en una decoración aceptable. La calidad y el sabor de las comidas estaba muy bien. La piscina estaba muy bien, aunque podría haber estado mucho mejor. El baño de la habitación en el Hotel Gala era bueno. "A helpful staff ": Hotel Gala review Amic hotel Gala is a family run hotel with a very nice and helpful staff. Good continental breakfast. Very clean room (Cleaned every day). Just meters away from the beach (Clean and beautiful water). The city is 30 minutes away by bus. Everything at an affordable price: good value for money! "Una semana de vacaciones muy agradable" : Hotel Gala comments Hola!Soy francesa y acabo una semana de vacaciones muy agradable en Mallorca . Despues de unos dias maravillosos en el Hotel Horizonte , me fui (aconsajada por el personal del Hotel Horizonte) al Hotel Gala , que pertenece a la misma cadena: Amic Hotels . Me encanto la filosofia de estos hoteles: siempre una sonrisa y toda la ayuda posible para sus clientes (asi que al final desaparece la relacion empleado-cliente reemplazada por la de amigos!). El hotel esta situado en la Playa de Palma . Nuestra habitacion era muy limpia. Me parece que el nivel de calidad era el mismo que en el Hotel Horizonte. La comida tambien era variada y buena. El personal esta muy amable y habla muy bien el frances! Otra ventaja: el hotel esta cerca del aeropuerto lo que nos ha permitido relajar un poco mas tiempo en la playa! “ Hotel agradable cerca de la playa ” Pasé una semana fantástico en Ca'n Pastilla último mes ! El hotel fue simplemente perfecto: muy limpia, buen desayuno continental, agradable personal (habla varios idiomas) y muy cerca de la playa! Todo a un precio asequible : buena relación calidad precio! El hotel está a sólo unos metros de la playa (agua estaba muy transparente) y como estábamos allí en abril, ya casi no había nadie más: nuestro propio pequeño paraíso! La ciudad está a 30 minutos en autobús (n°15 corre casi cada 15 minutos). El centro histórico de Palma es precioso , por encima de todo el enorme catedral, el Palacio Real de la Almudaina (gratis para los residentes de la Unión Europea el miércoles!) y puedes hacer compras por la Avenida Jaume III. ¡Sin duda recomendaría este hotel a cualquiera! Hotel Gala is absolute tops! In line with Natalia's opinion, Hotel Gala C'an Pastilla was excellently clean. The hotel offered excellent leisure facilities and activities. Near the hotel there were excellent shopping options. The service was excellent . The atmosphere and the furnishings in the dining and bar areas were excellent. There was a great diversity of food and beverage choices. The pool's condition was quite impressive.
