"I have been to the horizonte..." : Hotel Horizonte comments
“I have been to the Horizonte approx 10 times and every time I have had a warm welcome back. The staff is very nice. In the dining room is the best. The meals are basic but good for the money you pay. Good selection of salads, hot buffet including fish, pork, chicken, beef dishes and some Spanish dishes. Breakfast is a hot and cold affair with loads to choose from. The rooms have 2 twins or 1 double. Book the superior room and you will not be sorry. The views are amazing from the upper floors of the bay and harbor. The hotel is on a hill so if you have walking problems you would be best to take a taxi up to the hotel as it is quite steep. only a couple euros from the bottom of the hill. Porto pi shopping center is 5 minutes walk away from the hotel and is worth the visit as it is the largest shopping mall on the island. The beach is approx 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel or 2 minutes in a taxi to cala mayor. Large beaches close by are playa de Palma approx 10 minutes in a taxi. You can also get to the city center via the local bus in approx 15mins with all the stops for 1.50 euros each way. The bus stop is at the bottom of the hill. Remember when you are booking into this hotel it is a 2 star family run hotel and is clean and you get what you pay for. If you are expecting 5 star book else where. Going back in may and can't wait!”
