Hotel Colon Palma reviews by Tripadvisor “Clean, central, really nice staff”

We stayed in the Colon for two nights - on the first and last nights of our holiday in Mallorca. My partner and I were really impressed with it.

Location is very good. It is only approx 10 min walk to the main bus/train station, and approx 15-20 min walk to the main shopping area / cathedral / marina, along nice streets. There are a few cafes and restaurants nearby - definitely go to "Tasca" (owned by Mark Fosh) only 3 streets away - lovely food - and stop for a drink and snack in the 31 Decembre bar / cafe 2 blocks away - great staff and resonable drinks.

Staff at the hotel were really nice, very helpful and friendly.

On the day of our checkout, we didn't need to be at the airport until about 6.30pm. I was delighted that the hotel offers late check out of up to 6pm for a mere €15. This gave us the chance to do some more exploring / shopping before coming back to our room, packing, and showering.

Room was clean, rather small perhaps, with a free fridge and safe in the room. The air conditioning worked well and was quiet. Wide range of channels on the flatscreen TV in Spanish / English / German.

The free wi-fi was good too. Signal was low in the bedroom, but we easiy accessed it in the lobby.

Bathroom was very clean, and furnishings looked relatively new. Very good power from the shower, which is a huge plus for me!

The one minor downside was the elevator - tiny, especially when you're bringing up big bags - but then again, we managed to squeeze in 2 adults and 2 pieces of luggage in one go, so it's only a minor complaint.

Sure it's lacking some of the extras of a resort-like hotel - there is no pool, gym, restaurant or bar/lounge - but it does exactly what it says on the tin and is excellent value for a base to explore the lovely city of Palma. I would definitely return.

We had planned to spend 2 nights at Hotel Horizonte, but ended up extending it to 5 largely because of the amazing care we received from the front desk. As well, there was a great bartender and also great restaurant and cleaning staff. The people on the hotel staff make this hotel worth visiting. Awesome view, particularly from the corner rooms. We like walking, and it was an easy walk to Castel de Beliver overlooking the city (15 minutes) and an easy walk down along the marina to the Cathedral (30 minutes). If you walk the other way (away from the old town) there is an old fort (Castell de Sant Carles) about 15 minutes away with a terrifying collection of hand-weapons. If you stick to the shoreline still heading out of town and go just a tiny bit further, there is an awesome rocky beach. I f you walk a bit further still, there's a great sandy beach in Sant Agusti. Hotel Amic Gala recensioni su TripAdvisor “Complimenti Hotel Gala!!!”

L'hotel ha soddisfatto a pieno me e i miei amici: 1- il prezzo è molto vantaggioso! 2- la pulizia è eccellente. Si è accolti da un buon odore di pulito tanto nelle stanze quanto negli ambienti comuni. 3- ottima posizione. La spiaggia neanche due minuti a piedi; fermata del bus di fronte l'hotel...i bus a maiorca sono molto efficienti, frequenti, puliti. In poco tempo si raggiungono palma, el arenal, lo stesso aereoporto.  4- cibo in abbondanza e delizioso! Lo chef è veramente bravissimo oltre ad essere simpatico e disponibile, come tutto lo staff del resto! Hotel Amic Miraflores reviews by Tripadvisor “Good choice for young couples”

My husband and I stayed in Miraflores in August 2013, for our honeymoon. For those who look for good value for money hotels, Miraflores is an excellent choice.  The staff is really friendly, the hotel is clean and the location is great, about 300 feet from the beach.
